Wipe Day 1 Changes: Bug Fixes, QoL, Reworks
A couple of fixes for the first day or two of the wipe. Update applies on incoming next reboot.
Changes
- World Events: World Events now go one by one rather then being randomised. This makes it so that we have multiple differing events during the day rather then the same event multiple times.
- Boss Rush: Boss Rush event has been reworked. It now is based on the new world invasion system with several changes. It starts on an instanced map and has plenty of rewards, more details below. This also allows admins to change the amount of waves, bosses, rewards and anything else on the fly with code or rebooting. The event should feel smoother and have less mobs.
- Whis Staff: Fixed a bug with Whis Staff deleting itself due to it supposedly being disabled. Players can request the item back if they lost it.
- Special Items: Fixed a bug with all special items which gave skills. It would disallow them from using the skills and even delete them.
- FFA Rework: We have reworked the FFA Event to feel better. It should now have better rewards, and fix random issues like half the players being disqualified immediately. Both the FFA event, and player initiated start dojo ffa has been converted to this new system. Admins can modify rewards on the fly.
- Automatic Events: Arena events which teleport you to different arenas now happen one by one rather then being random. Makes it so that we don't consistently get the same events and players can gain some clarity on what event will be next.
- Admin Chat: Added an admin chat feature in the game. Players can tag @admin in any chat and it will open up a 'HELP' chat tab which they can speak to admins in. Admins can see this on all devices, and reply to them, if there's a reply the user's tab will be flashing and they can respond. Admin, or the player can close the ticket any time. It persists even when they log off and come back.
- Special Items & Artifacts: Fixed several issues with Special Items & Artifacts.
- Boss Drops: Fixed a bug with Boss Drops in Saga Missions, Quests, High Priority Kills & many other events dropping the boss drop on the floor rather then giving it to you directly. You should no longer have to wait a 45 second pick-up to get a drop when it was meant to goto you.
- Cleanse: Fixed a bug with Cleanse skill not working when you got it through starter package, citing you don't have it. This is due to it being a consumable, fixed an oversight with starter package.
- Friendly Fire: Boss Rush now has a friendly fire setting, players do up to 80% less damage when attacking players on their own side.
- New Chat Commands: You can now type in chat /suggest, /bugreport (or /bug). Then type enter or write the report. e.g. "/suggest Add SSJ5", and it will be automatically sent to support hub. This is in addition to @admin.
- Skyline: Added a Skyline Boss & Z Fighter Challenge.
- Raditz: Added a Raditz Boss.
- Fixed several other issues.
🥊 Free-For-All Events Have Arrived (REWORK)
A brand-new event type drops into the world: Free-For-All. Everyone in, last fighter (or last team) standing wins — knockouts cost a life, not your run home.
Jump In
Description: When an FFA kicks off, every online player gets the call to join.
- One-click sign-up: A popup invites you in, with a big countdown so you never miss the start. Don't see the popup? There's a flashing JOIN button waiting for you in the event tab.
- Solo or squads: FFAs can be a true everyone-for-themselves brawl, or team vs team — it's up to the host.
- Last one standing: Every knockout costs a life. Run out of lives and you're out. The final fighter (or team) takes the crown, and the deadliest fighter of the match is crowned MVP.
The FFA Tab
Description: A live, flashy event tab keeps you on top of the fight.
- See everyone: Every fighter shows up with their character icon, their lives left, whether they're KO'd or OUT, and where they are relative to you.
- Click to target: Tap any fighter in the tab to instantly target them — same as the Dojo and Sense tabs.
- Fair respawns: Get knocked out but still have lives? You respawn safe for a few seconds so you can't be spawn-camped.
No More Limping Home
Description: Leaving an FFA always patches you up.
- Eliminated = healed & out. When you're knocked out for good, you're fully healed before being sent on your way — no getting dumped at spawn still KO'd.
- Event over = everyone healed. When the match ends, every fighter is fully healed, win or lose.
👹 Boss Rush, Rebuilt (REWORK)
Boss Rush has been completely rebuilt into a proper signup event.
A Real Event Now
Description: Boss Rush now runs on the same powerful engine as World Invasions.
- Sign up and warp in: Get the invite, hit join, and you're teleported into the arena to take on the bosses together.
- Room to grow: Right now Boss Rush runs as a world event everyone can jump into. Under the hood, the system has been expanded so it can also power player-started Boss Rushes you take on with your party — a feature hosts can switch on and tune as they like.
- Everyone gets paid: Rewards go to the whole team that took part, not just whoever landed the last hit.
- Cleaner arenas: Players and bosses spawn at separate marked points, scattered a bit so you don't all land on top of each other.
🌍 World Invasion Upgrades
The World Invasion experience got a big polish pass.
Know Friend From Foe
Description: No more confusion about who you're fighting.
- Team colours: Fighters wear coloured rings — your side and the boss side each get their own colour (blue & red by default; hosts can pick any colours).
- Hands off your teammates: Hosts can stop you from targeting other players during an event, so your attacks land where they're meant to.
- Cleaner messages: Knockout messages now read naturally (e.g. "on the Boss Map") instead of dumping raw file names.
Better Sign-ups & Event Integrity
Description: Joining is smoother, and the event stays an event.
- A real invite: A Yes/No popup goes out to everyone online, backed by a big countdown announcement and a repeating JOIN button. The join window now lasts a few minutes by default, not a blink.
- No funny business: While an event is running, building, science and teleporting are locked, and the warp link hides itself so you can't slip out and back in.
- Old menus welcome too: Players still using the classic stat panel can see and join events just fine.
🔁 Events That Run Themselves (HOST CONTROLS REWORK)
Description: Servers can now put their arena events on auto-pilot.
- Always something happening: Tournaments, FFAs, Super/Legendary Boss fights, Team Elimination and Boss Rush can rotate automatically on a schedule the host sets — one after another, in order or shuffled.
- See what's next: The World tab shows what's running now and what's coming up.
- Fresh arenas: Arena events can run on dedicated instanced maps, so the action has its own space.
Hosts tune all of this — interval, order, and which events are in the mix — without restarting the game.
🎁 Rewards Go Straight To You
Description: Most rewards now land directly in your inventory instead of dropping on the floor with a pickup timer.
- Care packages, Dragon Ball wishes, bounties for taking down strong players and high-priority targets, world-event loot, quest and daily-quest rewards, saga-mission and core-demon drops — all go straight into your bag.
- The old "crate on the ground, wait to grab it" drop is now reserved for the big world-event style moments where it actually makes sense.
Hosts can flip any reward source between straight-to-inventory and floor crate.
🛡️ Your Items Are Safe
Description: Your custom items can no longer vanish on you.
- Disabling won't delete: If a host temporarily disables a custom item, it simply goes dormant in your inventory and comes right back when it's re-enabled — it's never wiped.
- Always recoverable: Even a removed item is archived and restorable, never truly destroyed — and removals are tracked, so nothing just silently disappears.
- Fewer glitches: Fixed cases where item-granted skills could remove themselves, and where Starter Package skills were wrongly blocked.
💬 Talk To The Staff
Description: Getting help is now built right into chat.
- Direct line to admins: A Help tab lets you message the staff directly and get a reply, right in-game.
- Quick commands: Type
/suggest,/bug, or/helpstraight into chat to send an idea, report a problem, or reach an admin in seconds. - You're in control: You can close out your own help conversation whenever you're done.
✨ Also In This Update
- Stuck-in-the-void fix: If you ever logged out inside an event arena that no longer exists (after it ended or a restart), you'll now be sent safely back to spawn instead of loading into a black screen.
- Tidier chat tabs: The Narrate tab only shows up on roleplay servers now, so it won't clutter the chat bar elsewhere.
- A pile of behind-the-scenes admin and host tools to build, schedule, and tune all of the above — Dragon Universe is a sandbox, so your server host decides what's on.
